Emily T. Roberts
Emily strives to help individuals and families through difficult times with confidence. Emily is knowledgeable and dedicated to the practice of family law, with over 14 years of experience. She is unwavering in her professionalism and prides herself on her ability to be resourceful and efficient in her practice.
Emily graduated from Westminster College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a minor in Biology where she completed a prestigious internship with the Utah Senate minority whip. She subsequently earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver in 2003 and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children in Arapahoe County after her admission to the Colorado State Bar. Emily performed significant volunteer work with Colorado Veterans, Colorado Legal Services, and taught Colorado’s mandated parenting classes. Emily was a frequent guest on the esteemed Colorado internet radio program “Dealing with Divorce” and created a seminar series titled “Women in Transition,” which provides a safe and supportive venue for women going through divorce and other life-changing events to obtain information and advice.
Emily joined the team at Elizabeth Christy Law Firm after she was admitted to the Washington and Oregon State Bars in 2015. Emily frequently volunteers on the pro se family law dockets, providing assistance to the Court Commissioners. She has also volunteered with the Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program and served as a rater for the Clark County Mock Trial Committee.
When she’s not volunteering or hard at work, Emily enjoys CrossFit, travel, quilting, and cooking with her family.
