Katie joined the team at Elizabeth Christy Law firm as a paralegal in 2019. Previously, she had graduated from The Evergreen State College in 2001. Katie is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Nicaragua from 2002-2004. During her time in northern Nicaragua, she lived in a small community where she helped facilitate reforestation, community banks, and various agricultural-related projects. After returning from her adventures, Katie serendipitously ended up working at a law office in her home town of Port Angeles, WA. For the last 11 years, she’s been working in family law, probate, and personal injury. At Elizabeth Christy Law Firm, Katie loves working with clients and helping them through difficult situations with empathy and understanding.
As a busy mother of three, she values her ability to multitask and manage chaos—there is nothing she enjoys more than organizing and streamlining whenever possible. When she is not tackling a new project (or a mountain of dirty laundry), she can be found biking or hiking with her family, or navigating her crew to a new camping spot.
Prior to her relocation to Portland, Katie served on the board of a local non-profit, serving children and families in her hometown. She loves giving back, helping those in need, and looks forward to making new connections in her new community.
